Once upon a time, the salmon was revered here as the “divine fish.” Born in rivers, growing strong in the ocean, and returning upstream to spawn—this migratory fish is a metaphor for innovators. In Hokkaido, we want our “salmon” to leap into the vast ocean of the world, grow, and return. SHAKE H is the place that sends such pioneers out into the world—and each year, they return to a home where they can reflect on their journey and reconnect.
